Agra, March 28: Agra police have successfully neutralized Sunil Kumar, a fugitive wanted in the brutal murder of an eight-year-old girl. The incident occurred on March 24 in the Tajganj area. Sunil was carrying a bounty of ₹25,000 on his head.

On Saturday morning, police received a tip-off about Sunil’s whereabouts in the Bamrauli Katra region. Acting on this information, law enforcement surrounded the area. As police closed in, Sunil opened fire, injuring a police officer in the process.

In response, the police returned fire, hitting Sunil. He was quickly transported to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The injured officer is currently receiving treatment. Following the encounter, police recovered an unregistered motorcycle, a 315 bore pistol, six spent cartridges, and three live rounds from Sunil’s possession.
