Noida, April 10: A shocking incident unfolded in the Sector 49 area of Noida when a young man attempted self-immolation at a petrol station. Fortunately, the timely intervention of a police team prevented a tragedy and saved the young man’s life.
According to reports, the individual had arrived at the petrol station to refuel his motorcycle. He became enraged after the staff allegedly filled his bike with the wrong fuel, leading to a heated argument. Frustrated by the staff’s attitude, the young man took a drastic step in anger.
Witnesses reported that he extracted petrol from his motorcycle and doused himself with it. He then attempted to ignite himself with a lighter, causing panic among those present at the scene, who immediately alerted the police.
The Noida Commissionerate’s PRV 4803 team responded swiftly to the call. The officers on duty quickly assessed the situation. They seized the lighter from the young man and doused him with water to eliminate the risk of fire.
