Lucknow, May 27: In a significant administrative reshuffle, the Lucknow Police Commissionerate in Uttar Pradesh has transferred several officers, including two Assistant Police Commissioners (ACPs), on Wednesday. The changes also affect inspectors and sub-inspectors within the police department.
According to the orders issued by the police administration, the new postings are effective immediately. Two gazetted officers at the ACP level have been assigned responsibilities in the traffic division.
ACP Avnish Kumar, previously stationed in Lucknow Police, has been appointed as the Assistant Police Commissioner of Traffic. Similarly, ACP Manju Pandey has also received a new role as Assistant Police Commissioner of Traffic.
In addition, there have been changes at the inspector and sub-inspector levels within the police commissionerate. Neelam Pandey, who was serving as the Additional Inspector at Naka police station, has been appointed as the in-charge inspector of the Women’s Police Station.
Meanwhile, Radheshyam Maurya, who was functioning as a constable under the Deputy Commissioner of Police (North), has been appointed as the new station head of Mahigawan police station.
Police department officials state that this reshuffle aims to enhance law and order, as well as strengthen traffic management and women’s safety measures. Given the increasing traffic pressure, concerns related to women’s safety, and the need for improved local policing, this move is considered crucial. Sources indicate that further administrative changes within the police commissionerate may occur in the coming days. The newly appointed officers have been instructed to assume their duties promptly.
