Changing your name in the Aadhaar card after marriage is now a simple process. Follow these steps:

  1. Visit Enrolment Centre: Go to your nearest Aadhaar enrolment centre and fill out the Aadhaar update form.

  2. Submit Documents: Provide your 12-digit Aadhaar number, your new full name, and your marriage certificate as proof.

  3. Additional Documents: If your marriage certificate includes your partner’s name, you may also submit a copy of their Aadhaar card along with the Aadhaar linking form.

  4. Pay the Fee: Pay a fee of Rs 50 for updating your name.

  5. Get URN Slip: After verification, you will receive a slip with a Unique Update Request Number (URN).

  6. Track Status: Your new name will be updated within 90 days. You can check the status on the UIDAI website.

You can also update your name in Aadhaar online by following these steps:
