It is customary to consult the Panchang before commencing any auspicious activities, rituals, travels, home entries, or new ventures to select an auspicious time. The Panchang is prepared based on the positions of the sun, moon, dates, constellations, and planets, providing insights into the favorable and unfavorable times throughout the day.
July 31, 2026, marks the second day of the Sawan month. On this day, the second date of the Krishna Paksha will last until 10:32 PM. Following this, the third date will begin. The Dhanishta Nakshatra will be in effect until 7:27 PM, while the Saubhagya Yoga will remain effective until 11:55 PM. According to the Panchang, Saubhagya Yoga is considered favorable for auspicious activities.
On this day, sunrise will occur at 5:25 AM and sunset at 6:45 PM. The moon will rise at 7:56 PM and set the following morning at 6:44 AM. The sun will be in the Cancer zodiac, while the moon will be in Capricorn, influencing the day’s astrological effects.
For auspicious timings, the Abhijit Muhurat will be from 11:39 AM to 12:31 PM. This period is deemed favorable for worship, important decisions, and the initiation of new tasks.
Conversely, the inauspicious time known as Rahukal will be from 10:25 AM to 12:05 PM. Additionally, Gulik Kaal will occur from 7:05 AM to 8:45 AM, and Yamaghantakal will be from 3:25 PM to 5:05 PM. Traditional beliefs advise against starting new and significant activities during these times.
As it is Friday, worshiping Goddess Lakshmi holds special significance. During the Sawan month, praying to Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati, along with Lakshmi worship, is believed to bring prosperity and family happiness.
On this day, there will be a directional obstacle in the west. Therefore, it is advisable to avoid traveling in that direction. If travel is necessary, traditional remedies should be observed to mitigate any negative effects.
