2026 Budget Praised as Historic and Beneficial for All Sections

Noida, February 1 – The Union Budget for 2026, presented by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman in the Lok Sabha, has been widely appreciated as a historic and visionary plan aimed at benefiting every section of Indian society. This marked the Finance Minister’s ninth consecutive budget presentation, setting a new record.

Entrepreneurs, traders, and industrial associations expressed their gratitude and lauded the government’s efforts. Surendra Singh Nahta, President of the MSME Industrial Association, Noida, stated that the budget addresses the needs of entrepreneurs, traders, farmers, fishermen, labourers, employees, students, women, and youth alike.

The budget offers significant relief on tax rates for the middle class and business community. A special allocation of ₹10,000 crore has been made for the MSME sector, which is expected to strengthen small and medium enterprises and create new employment opportunities. Important provisions to boost the leather industry, establish Ayurvedic educational institutions, develop high-speed rail corridors, and construct new waterways will accelerate the nation’s infrastructure development.

Additionally, the budget includes measures to reduce prices of medicines for cancer and other critical illnesses, provide special discounts on solar panels, promote dry fruit cultivation and production, and prioritise the operation of electric buses. These steps highlight the government’s focus on environmental protection and sustainable development. From April 2026, a new and simplified tax policy will be implemented, alongside initiatives to improve roads, girls’ hostels, university townships, and urban development, thereby strengthening education, housing, and essential services.

Surendra Singh Nahta emphasized that the budget will not only boost economic growth but also reinforce India’s commitment to self-reliance. On behalf of entrepreneurs, he extended his thanks to the Prime Minister and Finance Minister for this comprehensive and inclusive budget.
