Rail Traffic Between Delhi Junction and Delhi Shahdara to Remain Suspended on 15 August for Security

New Delhi, August 13 (Kiran News) – In view of enhanced security arrangements for Independence Day celebrations 2025, rail services between Delhi Junction and Delhi Shahdara Junction will remain temporarily suspended from 6:45 am to 9:00 am on August 15, officials from Northern Railway said on Wednesday.

During this two-hour and fifteen-minute suspension, several changes have been made to train operations, including cancellations, diversions, short terminations/short-originations, controls, and rescheduling.

Cancelled Trains:

  1. 74021 Delhi Jn. – Saharanpur DMU

  2. 74024 Saharanpur – Delhi Jn. DMU

  3. 64402 Delhi Jn. – Sahibabad EMU

  4. 64411 Sahibabad – Delhi Jn. EMU

  5. 64417 Ghaziabad – Delhi Jn. MEMU

Diversion:
64111 Khurja Jn. – Shakur Basti EMU will run via Sahibabad – Tilak Bridge – New DelhiDelhi Kishanganj, skipping Vivek Vihar, Delhi Shahdara, and Delhi Jn.

Short Termination/Short Origination:

  • 64152 Delhi Jn. – Aligarh MEMU to start from Ghaziabad.

  • 64022 Saharanpur – Delhi Jn. MEMU to terminate at Delhi Shahdara.

  • 64025 Delhi Jn. – Shamli MEMU to start from Delhi Shahdara.

  • 54058 Shamli – Delhi Jn. to terminate at Delhi Shahdara.

  • 64567 Bulandshahr – Tilak Bridge MEMU to terminate at Sahibabad and will be partially cancelled between Sahibabad and Tilak Bridge.

Controlled Trains:
Trains such as Jammu Tawi – Sambalpur (18310), Lalgarh – Dibrugarh (15910), Gaya – Delhi (03697), Delhi – Ghaziabad (64414), Saharanpur – Delhi (64558), and Aligarh – Delhi (64103) will be regulated at various stations during this period.

Rescheduled Trains:

  • 12038 Delhi Jn. – Kotdwar Siddhbali Jan Shatabdi: 110 minutes late (08:50 hrs)

  • 15484 Delhi – Alipurduar: 85 minutes late (09:00 hrs)

  • 12225 Azamgarh – Delhi: 90 minutes late (18:00 hrs)

  • 14042 Dehradun – Delhi: 70 minutes late (22:30 hrs)

Railway authorities have advised passengers to check the schedule of their respective trains before planning their journeys on Independence Day.
