New Delhi, April 15: A special session of Parliament is being convened to discuss the Women’s Reservation Bill, sparking intense political debate. BJP leader Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi emphasized on Wednesday that this bill is essential for half of the country’s population.
Naqvi stated, “The Women’s Reservation Bill is historic. Once enacted, it will grant full political rights to half of the population. This will be a milestone for women’s political empowerment. I believe there is no need for anyone to obstruct this progressive mission. If opponents raise objections, make excuses, or set conditions, they may not realize the consequences they will face from the public. Everyone needs to participate in the debate on the Women’s Reservation Bill and become stakeholders in the decision-making process.”
He further added, “When you reserve 33 percent of seats for women, it will undoubtedly lead to an increase in seats. The Women’s Reservation was passed during Sonia Gandhi’s tenure but remained dormant. Today, under the Modi government’s commitment to reform, transform, and perform, this bill will not only be passed but also implemented.”
On the Middle East issue, he remarked, “Under PM Modi’s leadership, India has demonstrated credible understanding in this global crisis. As a result, the world respects India’s sensitivity. Iran has also consistently appreciated India’s understanding and sensitivity, which is a matter of pride for every Indian.”
Congratulating Samrat Chaudhary on becoming the Chief Minister of Bihar, Naqvi said, “The BJP is continuously expanding its political base, driven by its commitment to good governance. Samrat Chaudhary is a grassroots leader, and his appointment as Chief Minister is a significant achievement.”
Regarding the arrest of the co-founder and director of I-PAC, he stated, “Mamata didi should understand that relying on event and political management companies for elections will lead to disappointment. Elections are not won on their backs. The BJP wins elections by relying on its cadre and standing with them. When the public decisively votes against TMC, they will blame vote theft.”
