Womens Congress Launches Postcard Campaign for Womens Reservation Bill

Bhopal, May 4: The Women’s Congress has initiated a nationwide postcard campaign demanding the immediate implementation of the Women’s Reservation Bill. This campaign aims to ensure constitutional rights for women from OBC, SC, and ST communities.

The campaign kicked off in Madhya Pradesh on Monday, with postcards addressed to the Prime Minister being sent from the T.T. Nagar post office in the capital. Leaders and activists of the Women’s Congress emphasized that the swift enactment of the Women’s Reservation Bill is a crucial step towards empowering women across the nation.

They also stressed the importance of ensuring that all sections of society, particularly women from OBC, SC, and ST backgrounds, receive their rightful representation within the reservation framework.

The Madhya Pradesh Women’s Congress has urged the central government to implement the Women’s Reservation Bill without delay, providing equal opportunities for women from all communities in line with the principles of social justice.

During the event, notable attendees included Santosh Kansana (former councilor), Rupali Sharma (General Secretary), Mehak Rana (General Secretary), Ratan Pandey (Block President), Maya Vishwakarma, Rekha Mod, and other Women’s Congress activists.

The Congress party continues to highlight women’s reservation as a political issue, holding the BJP and its central and state governments accountable. This postcard initiative reflects the Women’s Congress’s commitment to advocating for women’s rights.
