Jaipur, September 11 (Daily Kiran) : Voting is currently taking place in the second and final phase of Rajasthan’s municipal elections for 2026. This phase involves elections in 147 municipal bodies across 4,774 wards. Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma and Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari have both called on residents to participate actively in the voting process.
In a post on X, Chief Minister Sharma encouraged citizens, stating, “Dear residents, today is the voting day for the second phase of the municipal elections-2026. Let us all participate in this grand festival of democracy and ensure we use our voting rights.” He emphasized that every single vote contributes to the development of the city, better facilities, and a brighter future, urging everyone to step out and cast their votes.
Sharma made a special appeal to first-time voters, encouraging them to join enthusiastically in this democratic exercise and to inspire their families and friends to vote as well. “Let us vote for the future of our city together,” he said.
Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari also urged voters to make their voices heard. On X, she wrote, “First vote, then refreshments. I appeal to all esteemed voters participating in today’s municipal elections to ensure their active involvement in this festival of democracy and to exercise their voting rights.”
Mukesh Dadhich, Vice President of the Rajasthan BJP, echoed this sentiment with the same slogan, urging citizens to vote. He stated, “Your vote strengthens democracy and lays a solid foundation for the development of your city, better governance, and a brighter future. Let’s vote first and then have refreshments.”
As the voting continues, the leaders’ messages highlight the importance of civic engagement and the impact of each vote on local governance and community development.
