Uttarakhand CM Discusses Malviya Nagar Fire Incident with Delhi Counterpart

New Delhi, June 8: In the wake of the Malviya Nagar fire incident, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami reached out to Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta to express concerns regarding the arrest of Keshav Negi, a resident of Uttarakhand. In response, Chief Minister Gupta assured that the investigation would be conducted fairly, transparently, and within the bounds of the law, ensuring that no innocent individual faces injustice.

CM Dhami shared on the social media platform ‘X’ that he discussed Keshav Negi’s arrest with CM Gupta. He stated that Gupta assured him the investigation would proceed based solely on facts and evidence, and that no innocent person would be harassed.

In his message, CM Dhami expressed confidence that the Delhi government and relevant investigative agencies would uncover the truth through an impartial investigation. He also spoke with Keshav Negi’s daughter, Kanika Negi, promising the family all possible support. He emphasized that the Uttarakhand government stands firmly with all expatriate Uttarakhand residents across the country.

Meanwhile, Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta reacted to the incident, describing it as deeply tragic and painful. She affirmed that the sensitive nature of this case is being taken seriously and that the investigation is being conducted with fairness, transparency, and legal adherence.

Gupta clarified through a post on ‘X’ that the Delhi government’s priority is to ensure that no guilty party escapes justice and that no innocent individual suffers. She indicated that all relevant agencies have been instructed to conduct a thorough and impartial investigation based on facts, evidence, and the law.
