Hyderabad, June 8: Anshul Kunchha, a young man from Telangana, was tragically shot and killed in the United States. His sister, Tanvi, has reached out to the Indian Ministry of External Affairs, urging them to expedite the return of her brother’s body to India for the family.
Tanvi shared details about the incident, stating, “I really don’t know what happened. We know he was called to the wrong apartment. It was an empty house. As he was returning to his car after delivering a pizza, he was shot in the back of the head.”
She clarified that Anshul was not a full-time pizza delivery worker. He was pursuing a Master’s degree in Business Analytics at Drexel University. After completing his studies, he secured a full-time position at a Japanese multinational company named KWE. While studying, he worked part-time at a pizza delivery shop, taking shifts only when necessary, typically on weekends.
Tanvi expressed her distress, saying, “My only appeal to the Ministry of External Affairs is to return my brother’s body as soon as possible. Initially, we were told we would receive the body by Monday or Tuesday, but now we are hearing it may take until Thursday or Friday. We do not want his body to remain there for so long. My brother was a very cheerful person. If you ever met him, he was the sweetest person. He wouldn’t hurt a fly, and it’s strange that something like this happened to him. It is truly heartbreaking.”
According to family sources, Anshul was from Gundlapochampally in the Medchal-Malkajgiri district of Telangana. He worked for a multinational company while also taking on part-time pizza delivery jobs on weekends for extra income.
