
Jaipur, June 8: In anticipation of the demolition drive scheduled by the Jaipur Development Authority (JDA) on June 8, the district administration has taken significant measures to maintain law and order. A temporary ban on mobile internet and social media services has been ordered in several areas of Jaipur as a precautionary step.
The directive issued by Divisional Commissioner V. Sarvan Kumar highlights concerns over the potential misuse of social media platforms and internet services, which could lead to the spread of rumors and disrupt public peace. The administration aims to prevent any misleading information or tense situations from arising.
According to the order, mobile internet services, including 2G, 3G, 4G, and 5G, will be suspended from midnight on June 7 until midnight on June 8 in all police station areas under the Jaipur Police Commissionerate, as well as in the Jaipur North and Jaipur East districts. Additionally, services for bulk SMS, MMS, WhatsApp, Facebook, X, and other social media platforms will also be halted.
This restriction will apply to various localities, including Galta Gate, Manak Chowk, Subhash Chowk, Adarsh Nagar, Brahmpuri, Nahargarh, Kotwali, Jalupura, Sanjay Circle, Shastri Nagar, Bhatta Basti, Vidyadhar Nagar, Jaisinghpura Khor, Bani Park, Kanota, Tunga, Andhi, Jamwaramgarh, Samod, Raisar, Govindgarh, Chandwaji, Shahpura, Acherol, Viratnagar, Pawta, Pragpura, Manoharpur, Bhabru, Kaladera, Chomu, Harmad, Jhotwara, Kardhani, Vaishali Nagar, Sodala, Shyam Nagar, Gandhi Nagar, Bajaj Nagar, Malviya Nagar, Jawahar Circle, Sanganer, Pratap Nagar, Muhana, Shivdasapura, Bagru, Dudu, Fagi, and Phulera.
However, the administration has clarified that voice call services will continue to operate normally without any restrictions.
The district administration has urged citizens to cooperate in maintaining peace, harmony, and law and order. A warning has also been issued that strict action will be taken against anyone violating the order.
