Lucknow, July 1: Uttar Pradesh’s Transport Minister, Dayashankar Singh, participated in the inauguration ceremony of the state-level cooperative week. During the event, he addressed several key issues and represented the government’s stance.
In an interview with a news agency on Wednesday, Singh stated that the government is continuously working to strengthen the cooperative movement and empower farmers, rural communities, and youth economically.
He also mentioned Bharat Taxi, explaining how it will benefit the people of Uttar Pradesh. According to him, the service will be equipped with GPS and will include a panic button for women. Operated by a government agency, this initiative aims to serve the public. Singh assured that it will significantly benefit the citizens of Uttar Pradesh in the coming days, and the transport department will take all necessary steps to ensure its successful launch without any delays.
He emphasized that whether day or night, women can travel safely using this service, and they can trust it completely.
Additionally, Singh commented on the Samajwadi Party’s response regarding the Ram Temple issue. He asserted that the party has no right to make statements about the Ram Temple, which has been a subject of struggle for 500 years, with many sacrifices made along the way. He noted that he has witnessed the temple’s construction and has visited it, while lamenting that Samajwadi Party leader Akhilesh Yadav has yet to visit the temple. In this context, he argued that those who have not visited the Ram Temple have no moral authority to question its offerings.
