
New Delhi, August 1: A promising opportunity has emerged for youth preparing for government jobs. The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released an official notification on its website for the recruitment of eligible candidates for a total of 40 positions, including Medical Officers, across various departments.
The 40 vacancies announced by the commission include 1 Agricultural Engineer in the ‘Farm Machinery Training and Testing Institute’ under the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare; 4 Medical/Research Officers (Unani) in the Ministry of AYUSH; 1 Scientist ‘B’ (Botany), 1 Scientist ‘B’ (Environmental Science), 1 Scientist ‘B’ (Geology), 1 Scientist ‘B’ (Physics), and 1 Scientist ‘B’ (Zoology) in the National Research Laboratory for Cultural Heritage Conservation in Lucknow under the Ministry of Culture; 18 Civil Medical Officers in the Armed Forces Medical Services Directorate under the Ministry of Defence; 5 Specialist Grade III Assistant Professors (Immuno-Hematology and Blood Transfusion) and 1 Specialist Grade III Assistant Professor (Surgical Oncology) in the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare; 2 Assistant Industrial Advisers in the Ministry of Steel; and 4 Veterinary Assistant Surgeons in the Animal Husbandry and Animal Welfare Department of the Puducherry government.
The online application process for these vacancies began on July 25, with the deadline set for August 14. Interested candidates can submit their registration forms successfully on the commission’s official website before 6 PM on the final date.
Applicants must possess a relevant graduation, post-graduation degree/diploma, MBBS, MD/DNB, etc., from a recognized institution or university, depending on the position. Additionally, candidates should have the required years of experience in the relevant field after obtaining their qualifications.
The maximum age limit for applicants is set between 33 to 43 years, depending on the position. Candidates from reserved categories will receive age relaxation as per regulations.
Selection of eligible candidates will be based on document verification, interviews, and other stages. The salary for selected candidates will range from the 7th Central Pay Commission (CPC) pay matrix levels 7 to 11 per month, along with additional benefits and allowances.
While filling out the application form, candidates must pay the prescribed application fee online, which is set at ₹25 for General/OBC/EWS categories. SC/ST/PWD and female candidates will be exempt from the registration fee.
