Tragic Accident Claims Lives of Three Women Returning from Janmashtami Celebration

Morena, September 5 (Daily Kiran) : Late at night, three women tragically lost their lives in Morena while returning home from Janmashtami celebrations. They were struck by a truck traveling towards Delhi.

According to Udaybhan Singh Yadav, the Station House Officer at the Civil Lines police station, the women were walking home from the temple when the truck hit them from behind. One woman died at the scene, while the other two succumbed to their injuries during treatment.

A son of one of the deceased women shared that they had gone to the temple for the Janmashtami festivities. As they were walking back, the truck collided with them. All three women were from the same village, and one of them was his mother. They were walking on the side of the road when the truck hit them.

The truck was reportedly traveling at a high speed and crashed into a shop, causing significant damage to the front of the vehicle. The accident has cast a pall of grief over the village. Police have removed the truck from the road with the help of a JCB and have taken the driver into custody.

This incident follows another recent tragedy in Madhya Pradesh, where five people lost their lives in a road accident in Rewa district just two days prior. That accident occurred on National Highway-39 when a bus fell into a gorge after colliding with an obstacle. Local authorities reported that 20 people were injured in that incident.

The community is mourning the loss of the three women, highlighting the urgent need for road safety measures in the region.
