New Delhi, August 9: The Panchang holds significant importance in Hinduism. Before undertaking any auspicious activity, travel, investment, or religious rituals, consulting the Panchang is essential. This ancient calendar system is based on the positions of the sun, moon, and other celestial bodies.
On August 10, 2026 (Monday), the Krishna Paksha Dwadasi Tithi of the Shravan month will last until 08:01 AM. Following this, the Trayodashi will commence. This date marks the second Monday of the Shravan month, coinciding with the rare conjunction of Som Pradosh Vrat and Kamika Ekadashi Parana, which occurs once every six years. This day is particularly auspicious for the worship of Lord Shiva.
On Monday, sunrise will occur at 6:05 AM, and sunset will be at 6:59 PM. The moon will rise at 3:00 AM and set the following day at 5:14 PM. According to the Panchang, the sun will be positioned in the Ashlesha Nakshatra, while the moon will remain in the Ardra Nakshatra until 12:27 PM, after which it will transition to the Punarvasu Nakshatra.
There will be no Harshan Yoga on this day; instead, Vajra Yoga will prevail. The Abhijit Muhurat, considered the most auspicious time, will be from 12:06 PM to 12:57 PM. The Amrit Kaal will occur in the early morning from 3:23 AM to 4:50 AM.
Additionally, Rahukal will take place from 7:41 AM to 9:18 AM, and Gulik Kaal will be from 2:09 PM to 3:45 PM. Yamagand Kaal will occur from 10:55 AM to 12:32 PM. Traditional beliefs advise against starting new ventures during these periods, as they are considered inauspicious.
On this day, the sun will be in Cancer, while the moon will be in Gemini. The direction of the east will have a directional shool, and according to astrology and Vastu, it is advisable to avoid travel in this direction. If travel is unavoidable, specific astrological remedies should be adopted before departure.
