Mumbai, June 10: Amid ongoing internal conflicts within the Trinamool Congress (TMC), Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Sanjay Raut made a suggestion that has drawn criticism from Maharashtra government minister Uday Samant. Raut stated that to resolve the ongoing tensions within the TMC, strengthening the Congress party is essential, as normalcy cannot be achieved without it.
In response to Raut’s comments, Uday Samant remarked during a press interaction that if Raut is so concerned about the TMC’s issues, he should participate in the India alliance meetings. He pointed out that Raut did not bother to attend the meetings organized by the alliance but is now offering advice. “If you are giving suggestions, why not implement them yourself?” Samant questioned.
He further suggested that it would be wise for Raut to prioritize the concerns of his own party before worrying about Congress or TMC. The current state of Raut’s party is well-known, and it would be in his best interest to focus on strengthening it. Only then can he expect to see improvements in the situation.
Additionally, a company in Maharashtra has come under scrutiny for stating that only Gujarati and Marwari individuals would be hired. When questioned about this, the minister clarified that this was not a widespread practice among companies, but rather an isolated case that is currently under investigation to understand the reasoning behind it.
Samant also took aim at Shiv Sena (UBT), asserting that its credibility has completely eroded. He emphasized that the public no longer trusts them, as they seem preoccupied with criticizing Prime Minister Modi instead of focusing on substantial work. “I want to make it clear that they will gain nothing from this,” he concluded.
