Lucknow, September 4 (Daily Kiran) : In a significant political move, Sanjay Nishad, a minister in the Uttar Pradesh government and president of the Nishad Party, has extended an invitation to Akash Anand, the nephew of Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) chief Mayawati, to join his party. This offer comes in the wake of Mayawati’s decision to keep Anand away from major responsibilities within the BSP.
Nishad stated that if Anand decides to join the Nishad Party, he would be offered a position of his choice along with the respect he deserves. He encouraged Anand to consider the proposal carefully. Speaking in Lucknow, Nishad remarked, “I urge Akash Anand to think wisely before making a decision. There is a saying: where youth leads, the world follows. This is the essence of our efforts for the Nishad community.”
Highlighting the importance of social justice and the Bahujan movement, Nishad noted that a vast majority of the country’s population comes from communities that have historically faced deprivation. He emphasized that the constitutional framework should ensure that everyone contributes to the economy, allowing for the upliftment of the underprivileged through education and development.
He referenced the ideologies of social reformers like Kanshi Ram and Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, stating, “The slogan was—Ambedkar’s dreams remain unfulfilled, but Kanshi Ram will complete them. Now, we must work together to fulfill those dreams.” Nishad expressed a commitment to this vision, asserting that the Nishad Party is built on these principles.
Regarding youth involvement, he stressed its critical role in shaping the future. “Certainly, where youth leads, change follows. Engaging the youth is our priority, as this struggle is not just for a day but a long-term battle that cannot be resolved overnight,” he said. Nishad underscored the necessity of training and providing opportunities for young people, emphasizing that they are the key to transformative change.
