Two Missing Minors Found Safe in New Delhi After Family Dispute

New Delhi, February 26: The Anti-Human Trafficking Unit (AHTU) of the Crime Branch successfully located and rescued two missing minors from various areas in Delhi. The children have been safely returned to their families, who expressed their gratitude to the Delhi Police for their efforts.

According to DCP Pankaj Kumar of the Crime Branch, a report was filed on November 24, 2025, regarding the disappearance of a 13-year-old girl at the Ghazipur police station. Due to the sensitive nature of the case, it was handed over to the AHTU.

Under the guidance of ACP Suresh Kumar, Inspector Mukesh Kumar and Sub-Inspector Vishal Gupta gathered information from the victim’s parents and conducted inquiries with local residents. Based on surveillance and questioning, the team located the girl in the Paharganj area of Delhi.

Investigations revealed that the girl had left home after being scolded by her parents for spending excessive time on social media.

In a similar case, a report regarding a 16-year-old boy’s disappearance was filed on February 24 at the Ranhohla police station. Inspector Manoj Dahiya, Head Constable Ajit, and Constable Ashok Kumar collected information from the boy’s parents, relatives, and friends. Based on verification at the scene, the team found the boy in the Shyam Vihar area of Ranhohla, Delhi.

The investigation showed that the missing boy, who is in the eighth grade, has two brothers and four sisters. His father is a laborer, and his mother is a homemaker. He had gone to a nearby tuition class on February 24 and stayed at a classmate’s house afterward.
