Washington, February 25: President Donald Trump has claimed that the United States has “destroyed” Iran’s nuclear program. He announced that the U.S. has successfully dismantled Iran’s nuclear weapons initiative. Alongside this, he asserted that eight wars have been concluded.

Trump referred to this “extraordinary campaign,” dubbed “Operation Midnight Hammer,” while addressing Congress. He stated that the U.S. military has completely obliterated Iran’s nuclear weapons program through attacks on Iranian soil. He emphasized that for decades, U.S. policy has been to prevent Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons. He added, “My priority is to resolve this issue through diplomacy, but one thing is certain: I will never allow the world’s largest state sponsor of terrorism to possess nuclear weapons.”

The President described this operation as part of a broader national security strategy. He mentioned that it is referred to as “peace through strength,” and noted that the U.S. is investing a record one trillion dollars in its armed forces this year. He also stated that NATO countries have agreed to pay 5 percent of their GDP for military defense, an increase from the previous 2 percent, which many considered impossible.

Turning to Latin America, Trump claimed that U.S. forces have “completely defeated the enemy,” ended the regime of illegal dictator Nicolás Maduro, and brought him to justice in the U.S. He stated that Washington is working with newly elected President Delsy Rodríguez to ensure extraordinary economic benefits for both countries.

The President also emphasized a strict policy against drugs. He declared that he has designated these cartels as foreign terrorist organizations and labeled illegal fentanyl as a weapon of mass destruction. He further noted that a new military campaign has “almost completely halted its influx by land and sea.”

During his speech, Trump asserted that in his first ten months, he has ended eight wars, including those in Cambodia and Thailand, Pakistan and India, Kosovo and Serbia, and Israel and Iran. He added that efforts are underway to conclude the ongoing massacre between Russia and Ukraine, marking it as the ninth war.
