Tribal Communities Celebrate Culture at Grand Event in New Delhi

New Delhi, May 25: A grand ‘Tribal Culture Conclave’ held in New Delhi saw participants from across the country proudly showcasing their culture, traditions, and identities. The event, hosted at the historic Red Fort complex, emphasized the importance of presenting one’s culture with pride.

The occasion marked the 150th birth anniversary of ‘Dharti Abba’ Birsa Munda, with Union Home Minister Amit Shah attending as the chief guest. The mega cultural event was expected to draw around 150,000 representatives from over 550 tribal communities nationwide.

A female participant from Uttarakhand expressed that this was her first experience of such a large tribal gathering in her 40 years of life. Dressed in traditional attire, she stated, “Everyone has the right to showcase their culture and take pride in it.”

Another tribal woman shared her joy about participating in the event, saying, “We are very happy to be here. We will also visit the Red Fort.” She highlighted that attendees came not only to witness the event but also to support tribal communities and raise awareness about their issues. She noted that everyone was united in advocating for the rights and protection of tribal societies.

One participant emphasized that the primary goal of the event was to bring together tribal communities from across the country. “We are meeting people from different regions and languages. It feels great to be here, and the arrangements are commendable,” he remarked.

Another attendee pointed out that India is home to approximately 750 tribal communities, with over 550 represented at the conclave. He described the gathering as a ‘mini India’ coming together in one place.

Participants showcased diverse tribal cultures, traditions, attire, dialects, languages, musical instruments, and lifestyles. They urged the entire nation to witness how tribal communities are working to preserve their culture and traditions.

Leaders from the BJP also described the event as a significant celebration of ‘Unity in India’ and tribal solidarity.
