
Chaibasa, March 22: A 10-day joint residential training camp for Congress district presidents from Odisha and Jharkhand commenced in Chaibasa, Jharkhand, on Sunday. Organized under the ‘Organization Creation Campaign,’ the camp aims to strengthen the party’s grassroots structure and prepare new leadership.
The camp was inaugurated in the presence of AICC Training In-Charge Sachin Rao, Jharkhand Co-In-Charge Dr. Siribela Prasad, Bhupendra Maravi, Odisha In-Charge Ajay Kumar Lallu, State Congress President Keshav Mahato Kamlesh, Leader of the Jharkhand Congress Legislative Party Pradeep Yadav, and Leader of the Odisha Legislative Party Ramchandra Kadam. A total of 35 district presidents from Odisha and 25 from Jharkhand are participating. The training will cover topics such as organizational expansion, public relations, leadership skills, and communication techniques.
Through this initiative, the party is strategizing to strengthen its presence at the district level. State Congress President Keshav Mahato Kamlesh emphasized that this camp is a significant step towards fortifying the organization’s future. He highlighted the importance of making workers and officials active and accountable at the grassroots level. Various sessions will be held during the camp, focusing on party strategies, methods of engaging with the public, identifying local issues, and linking them to the political agenda.
Additionally, district presidents will undertake a two-day field visit to directly interact with the public and understand ground realities. Senior party leaders and officials, including K. Raju, Ajay Kumar Lallu, Bhakt Charandas, Shashikant Senthil, Pradeep Yadav, Radhakrishna Kishore, Dr. Irfan Ansari, Deepika Pandey Singh, Shilpi Neha Tirki, Rajesh Kachhap, Bandhu Tirki, Dr. Abhay Sagar Minj, Sanjay Basu Mallik, and Dayamani Barla, will conduct the training sessions.
The camp will conclude on March 31, with the possibility of senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi attending. His potential visit has generated enthusiasm among workers, who hope he will provide important directives regarding the organization.
