The incidents occurred in the provinces of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, with the first tragedy unfolding on Saturday night and the second on Sunday morning.
In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, a truck collided with a vehicle in the Sakha Kot area of the Dargai Tehsil early Sunday. This collision claimed the lives of two young men and injured eight others. The truck struck a Suzuki car carrying a group of waiters who were traveling to Bajaur.
Emergency teams from Rescue 1122 promptly arrived at the scene. They provided first aid to the injured before transporting them to the THQ Hospital in Dargai. The deceased were identified as Shayaan and Ehtesham, both residents of Jalala village in the Mardan district. The injured individuals, aged between 20 and 23, also hailed from the same area.
Just hours prior, another tragic accident in Punjab claimed seven lives and injured 60 people when a tractor-trailer collided with a vehicle carrying wedding guests. Local police reported that the accident occurred in the Zahid Peer area of Rahim Yar Khan district. Preliminary investigations suggest that negligence on the part of the trailer driver was the cause of the crash.
