Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath Provides Relief to Flood Victims in Chitrakoot

Chitrakoot, September 6 (Daily Kiran) : Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath visited Chitrakoot on September 6, 2026, to assess the damage caused by severe flooding in the region. He conducted both aerial and ground inspections of the affected areas.

During his visit, CM Yogi met with hundreds of families impacted by the flooding of the Mandakini River, listening to their hardships and distributing essential ration kits and relief materials. He presented checks of ₹120,000 each to three families whose homes were completely destroyed in the disaster. Additionally, some beneficiaries received land allotment certificates. The administration is currently conducting surveys, and further assistance will be provided to other affected individuals soon.

While distributing relief materials, the Chief Minister assured the public that the Uttar Pradesh government stands firmly with flood victims during this crisis. He emphasized that no victim should feel distressed, as the government is committed to providing all possible aid without discrimination. He instructed officials to ensure there is no negligence in the relief efforts.

At a relief distribution event held during the Ramayana Mela in Chitrakoot, CM Yogi presented checks to Mukesh, Lallu, and Chunnilal, who had lost their homes. He also provided land allotment certificates to Ram Suraj and Suraj Kali. The immediate assistance brought visible relief to the flood victims, who expressed their gratitude to the Chief Minister for the promised housing and support.

Rani and Manju, residents of the Sitapur Malakana area, shared their experiences, stating that the flood had completely submerged their home and destroyed all their belongings. They expressed relief at receiving ration kits directly from the Chief Minister, who also assured them of new housing.

Asha from Katra Gujjar village mentioned that although her house was flooded, the proactive response from the administration and the Yogi government ensured they received continuous food supplies from the first day of the disaster, preventing them from going hungry.

Another flood victim, Gyan Singh, commented on the rapid support he received, noting that his temporary house collapsed in the flood. He received a ration kit and the promise of a new home, praising the Chief Minister for his quick response, which he felt was unprecedented.

The people of Chitrakoot and local representatives have praised CM Yogi’s swift visit and sensitivity toward the affected communities. Following his tour of the flood-stricken areas, the Chief Minister held a review meeting with local officials, directing them to expedite recovery efforts and rehabilitation processes.
