Changsha, September 6 (Daily Kiran) : The annual industrial output value of China’s grain enterprises has surpassed 4 trillion yuan, according to reports from the eighth China Grain Trade Conference held in Changsha, Hunan Province on September 5.
Liu Huanxin, director of the National Food and Strategic Reserves Administration, highlighted that China currently has 24,000 grain enterprises contributing to this impressive figure. More than one-third of the provinces report an output value exceeding 100 billion yuan. Nationwide, 33 provincial-level regional public brands and 117 municipal and county-level public brands have been established for grain.
China’s annual grain production remains stable at over 650 million tons. In 2024 and 2025, production is expected to exceed 700 million tons for two consecutive years. The country maintains high levels of grain reserves, with ongoing optimization of their structure and layout, effectively meeting supply requirements.
