
Bahraich, June 10: A devastating road accident in Bahraich district has resulted in the deaths of four individuals, with ten others sustaining injuries. The incident occurred when a speeding truck collided head-on with a passenger bus.
The bus, which was carrying passengers from Lucknow to Rupaidiah, was struck by the out-of-control truck. Both vehicles were severely damaged in the crash. Initial reports indicate that several passengers on the bus suffered serious injuries and were transported to a medical college for treatment. Among them, three passengers are reported to be in critical condition.
The roadways bus was en route from Lucknow, passing through Bahraich, when the truck collided with it near the Bhagwanpur intersection.
Upon receiving news of the accident, police and administrative officials arrived at the scene to initiate rescue operations. The injured were promptly taken to the Community Health Center (CHC) in Rampurwa, with those in critical condition referred to the district hospital for advanced care.
Superintendent of Police (SP) Vishwajit Chaudhary stated, “According to the information received, four people have died, and ten are injured, with three in serious condition. All injured individuals are being treated at Bahraich Medical College, where doctors and medical staff are providing care.”
Bahraich police have confirmed that immediate medical assistance was provided to all injured victims, and senior officials are present at the scene to monitor the situation.
An investigation into the accident has been launched to determine the causes.
