Lucknow, June 17: In a significant breakthrough, the police team from Bakshi Ka Talab, Lucknow, has arrested three notorious criminals involved in a robbery of Rs 5 lakh. Other accomplices in the robbery remain at large. The arrested individuals have confessed to their involvement in the crime.
According to the Lucknow police media cell, on June 11, information was received at Bakshi Ka Talab police station regarding an armed robbery. Unknown assailants had overtaken a vehicle near Bakshi Ka Talab market and fired shots to snatch a bag containing Rs 5 lakh. Upon receiving the alert, police promptly arrived at the scene to conduct necessary investigations. Based on the complaint filed by the victim, Rakesh Kumar Agarwal of Daliganj, a case was registered against Satwant and his accomplices, initiating an investigation.
Meanwhile, acting on a tip-off, the Bakshi Ka Talab police team arrested the three suspects under the Sansarpur underpass. The arrested individuals have been identified as Satwant Singh Patel (38), Vinay Kumar from Prayagraj, and Rohit Kumar Yadav from Pratapgarh. All three are property dealers. Police recovered a car, three mobile phones, and cash from their possession.
The suspects admitted to their involvement in the robbery of the bag filled with cash on the BKT-Sitapur highway. During interrogation, they revealed that they had planned the robbery in coordination with their accomplices.
Based on information obtained from the arrested criminals, efforts are underway to apprehend the other fugitives involved in the incident and recover the stolen money. The arrested suspects have been presented in court and sent to jail. Police have assured that they will soon capture the remaining criminals and recover the stolen funds.
