Gujarat Government Frees Land in Adesar for New Police Station

Gandhinagar, June 17: The Gujarat government has successfully reclaimed approximately 10,000 square meters of government land in the Adesar area of Eastern Kutch. This land was previously under the illegal occupation of criminal Harun Ayub Hingorja.

Located near the Forest Department office along the Radhanpur-Samkhiyari Highway, the land is valued in crores. A joint operation by the police and district administration led to the removal of the unauthorized ‘Sahara Hotel’ structure. This action aligns with the state government’s ‘zero tolerance’ policy against criminals and land mafia.

Under the direction of Deputy Chief Minister Harsh Sanghvi, the reclaimed land will be utilized to enhance public welfare and strengthen law and order. In this regard, the Adesar police submitted a proposal to the state government and district collector for the construction of a new police station on the freed land. The proposal received immediate approval, and the land has been officially allocated for the police station’s construction.

Senior police officials, including Eastern Kutch Superintendent of Police Sagar Bagmar, inspected the site and are preparing to initiate the construction process following all legal formalities. The Gujarat Police Housing Board will soon commence the building of a state-of-the-art police station equipped with modern facilities. The proposed structure will include an inspector’s office, lock-up, staff room, crime record room, and police station officer’s chamber. Additionally, a spacious courtyard and a green garden will be developed on the premises.

Strategically located on the Radhanpur-Samkhiyari Highway, this new police station is expected to enhance highway patrolling, improve emergency response times, and assist in maintaining law and order in the region.

The government emphasizes that converting properties seized from criminals into public welfare structures is a key part of its policy. This initiative not only aims to strengthen law enforcement but also sends a clear message that illegal occupations will not be tolerated under any circumstances.
