Patna, February 26: Tejashwi Yadav, the leader of the opposition in the Bihar Assembly and the national executive president of the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), raised questions on Thursday regarding a statement made by Union Home Minister Amit Shah about infiltrators.

Yadav pointed out that the NDA has been in power in Bihar for 21 years. He emphasized that the central government is also theirs. Yet, they continue to discuss the issue of infiltrators. If infiltration is occurring in Bihar, it was their responsibility to prevent it, a duty they have failed to fulfill.

In a conversation with reporters, Yadav mentioned that when the Election Commission conducted a survey in Bihar, it stated in a Supreme Court affidavit that there are no infiltrators in the state. However, every election season, such baseless claims resurface. He accused the BJP of instigating conflict among people.

It is noteworthy that Union Home Minister Amit Shah is on a three-day visit to Bihar, which began on Wednesday. On Thursday, he arrived in Araria, where he inaugurated border outposts ‘Lati’ and ‘Inderwa’ and addressed an e-launch program for various projects of the Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB). He stated that all illegal encroachments within a 10-kilometer radius of the border would be demolished as part of this campaign, and the identification of infiltrators for deportation would commence.

Shah asserted that they would systematically remove each infiltrator from Indian territory. He clarified that this is not merely an electoral promise but a commitment from the central government. He assured that they would soon take action.

Tejashwi Yadav also commented on the CAG report, alleging that houses under the housing scheme were constructed in just 24 hours, calling it the biggest scam involving treasury theft. He noted that their legislators discussed this in the assembly, but the government has not responded.

Regarding the Rajya Sabha elections, he stated that they would contest and win, regardless of who the candidate is.
