Central Minister of State for External Affairs and Textiles, Pabitra Margerita, inaugurated new Indian embassies in Ecuador and Bolivia during a three-day visit from November 4 to 10, 2025.
During this visit, a memorandum of understanding was signed to enhance cooperation between Indian and Ecuadorian diplomatic training institutions. Ecuadorian candidates have been invited to continue utilizing ITEC training slots in areas such as digital technology, AI, and science and technology.
Both sides agreed to hold the next foreign office consultation in India during the first half of 2026. Additionally, they paid tribute at the Heroes’ Monument in Quito. The minister also engaged with representatives from the business sector and the Indian community in Ecuador.
