Rajasthans Chief Minister Announces 22nd Installment of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi

Jaipur, March 13: Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma stated on Friday that farmers are the soul of the nation. He highlighted that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has transferred the 22nd installment of the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi to the bank accounts of millions of farming families, honoring their contributions.

CM Sharma noted that in Rajasthan alone, over 6.6 million farmers have received more than ₹1,355 crore in total. He confirmed that the state government stands firmly with farmers in all circumstances. Sharma asserted that farmers have always been a top priority for PM Modi, and under his leadership, a new approach to farmer-related policies has emerged in recent years.

He emphasized that farmers are now recognized as the true strength of the nation. The Prime Minister is firmly committed to ensuring farmers’ prosperity, implementing various schemes, with the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi being a key initiative.

The Chief Minister reiterated that the state government is dedicated to protecting farmers’ interests and ensuring their welfare. The state has also launched its own Chief Minister Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme, which provides eligible farmers with an additional annual payment of ₹3,000 from the state government. He further stated that the government is committed to gradually increasing this amount to ₹12,000.

Under the crop insurance scheme, compensation for crop damage is being provided at higher rates compared to previous governments. So far, ₹6,473 crore in insurance claims have been distributed across the state under this scheme.

Sharma mentioned that prioritizing farmers’ welfare, the state government has allocated ₹1,19,408 crore for agriculture in the 2026-27 budget, reflecting a historic 34% increase compared to the last budget (2023-24) of the previous government.

Additionally, under the Mukhyamantri Mangala Livestock Insurance Scheme, free insurance policies have been issued for over 1.6 million animals, with claims being settled regularly. Furthermore, 536 mobile veterinary units are providing services across villages in the state.
