New Delhi, July 15: Former BJP MP Subrata Pathak has expressed his candid views on several issues, including the 131st Constitutional Amendment Bill, delimitation, and the Ram Temple donation controversy. He emphasized that the central government’s aim is to strengthen democracy and society, while the opposition is unnecessarily trying to create political disputes.
Regarding the 131st Constitutional Amendment Bill and delimitation, Pathak stated that the government will take necessary actions in the interest of the country and society. He noted that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has already clarified his commitment to women’s legislation. The bill failed to pass previously due to opposition, but the government is determined to reintroduce it. If it passes this time, it would not be surprising.
On the allegations concerning the Ram Temple donation theft, he dismissed the opposition’s claims, calling the incident deplorable. He highlighted that the BJP government has taken the matter seriously by forming an SIT, filing FIRs against the culprits, and continuing recovery actions. If further involvement of others is revealed during the investigation, action will be taken against them as well. He criticized Congress and the Samajwadi Party, stating that parties that once questioned Lord Ram’s existence are now politicizing the Ram Temple issue. He urged the opposition to clarify whether they acknowledge the existence of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya, asserting that their goal is merely political gain.
Responding to the decision to ban non-vegetarian food in the hostels of King George Medical University (KGMU), Pathak remarked that it falls under the jurisdiction of the university administration and the governor. The decision made under Governor Anandiben Patel’s leadership is within the administrative rights of the university.
Regarding the Supreme Court’s recent order on the Bhojshala case, he stated that if another community needs a place for worship, arrangements can be made outside the Bhojshala complex. He emphasized that there is a temple within Bhojshala, and if prayers are allowed inside, similar arrangements should apply to other religious sites.
He completely rejected the opposition’s accusations of political misuse of constitutional institutions. He stated that parties that have historically used institutions for political purposes now see politics in every action. The BJP government is not misusing constitutional institutions but is acting according to the law.
On the political speculations following the meeting between NCP leaders Jayant Patil and Sunil Tatkare with Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, he responded that such discussions arise due to the opposition’s continuous political failures and the weakness of Congress leadership. Attempts to establish Rahul Gandhi as a national leader have repeatedly failed. Both the country and the world trust Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, and his popularity is causing the opposition to weaken. The political speculations regarding the meetings in Maharashtra are baseless and have no connection to reality.
