
Mumbai, July 28: The highly anticipated film ‘Partition 1947,’ starring Sunny Deol, unveiled its trailer on Tuesday. The film depicts events following the India-Pakistan partition.
The trailer, released by the makers, suggests a narrative centered on human emotions during the partition era. It tells the story of an elderly Hindu woman who refuses to leave her home in Pakistan.
In the 2-minute and 59-second trailer, viewers experience the pain and emotions of separation during the India-Pakistan partition. Sunny Deol portrays a family whose life is drastically altered by violence, fear, and forced migration, yet their humanity remains intact despite the overwhelming separation.
The trailer shows Sunny Deol arriving in Pakistan with his wife, Preity Zinta, and children, where they encounter a Hindu woman (Shabana Azmi) who adamantly refuses to leave her home. This leads the entire family, including Sunny Deol, to face numerous challenges.
