
Reasi, June 21: SSP Mukund Tibrewal conducted a thorough inspection of the security arrangements along the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi pilgrimage route and the temple area. With the increasing number of devotees during the summer holidays, he instructed all security personnel to maintain heightened vigilance. He emphasized the need for regular and effective patrolling, especially during nighttime and other sensitive periods.
Accompanying SSP Tibrewal were Kameshwar Puri, SP of Katra, along with SDPO and SHO, as well as officials from the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) and the police security wing. The SSP personally reviewed the entire security setup along the pilgrimage route.
During the inspection, he closely examined various entry points and assessed the efficiency of screening, searching procedures, and baggage scanning systems for the devotees. He also reviewed the deployment of security personnel at key locations along the route and their overall alertness.
SSP Tibrewal visited Sanjichhat and conducted a security audit of the helipad and surrounding areas to ensure the safety of helicopter operations. He inspected the living conditions of security personnel stationed at the temple and along the route, engaging with them to discuss their living conditions and welfare arrangements.
He stressed the importance of regular and effective patrolling along the pilgrimage route, particularly at night, to thwart any nefarious plots by anti-national elements.
The officer highlighted the need for continuous vigilance, improved coordination among all stakeholders, and regular security audits to effectively address challenges and maintain a safe environment for the millions of devotees visiting the sacred shrine each year.
