Beijing, August 21: Chinese President Xi Jinping sent a message on August 20 congratulating Hakainde Hichilema on his re-election as President of Zambia.
Xi stated that over the past few years, they have met twice and guided the development of China-Zambia relations together. The mutual political trust between the two nations has deepened continuously, resulting in significant achievements in practical cooperation and close coordination in multilateral matters.
He emphasized the importance of bilateral relations and expressed his readiness to work with President Hichilema to implement the outcomes of the China-Africa Cooperation Forum and the Beijing Summit. Xi aims to promote traditional friendship, provide mutual support, enhance the level of mutually beneficial cooperation, and elevate the China-Zambia comprehensive strategic partnership to new heights, ultimately benefiting the people of both countries.
