Special Initiative Launched in Mathura to Address Stray Cattle Issues

Mumbai, June 5: The Basic Education Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Sandeep Singh, announced that the state government has initiated a special campaign to capture stray cattle and relocate them to cow protection centers. The aim of this initiative is to reduce road accidents and prevent damage to farmers’ crops. District, block, and tehsil-level officials have been assigned responsibilities to ensure the swift and effective execution of this campaign.

Singh emphasized that the government seeks to alleviate public inconvenience caused by roaming stray animals and to maintain safe traffic conditions. Under this initiative, cattle will be identified and transported to safe locations throughout the state. He stated that work is being carried out at all levels in accordance with the Chief Minister‘s directives, and any negligence will not be tolerated.

Additionally, he mentioned that large-scale programs are being organized across the country and state to commemorate the completion of 12 years of the central government. These programs will include exhibitions of government schemes, public awareness campaigns, and dialogues with representatives. The special campaign will run from June 5 to June 21, starting with the “One Tree in the Name of Mother” initiative, which will involve extensive tree planting across the state.

In Mathura, a comprehensive plan has been prepared for various events on different days. There will also be a review of government schemes to ensure that the benefits reach the public effectively. The minister stated that immediate corrective actions will be directed wherever deficiencies are found.

He also addressed numerous complaints regarding the electricity supply, noting that adverse weather conditions have affected power lines and transformers in several areas. Officials have been instructed to expedite repairs to restore normal electricity supply to avoid inconveniencing residents during the heat. He warned that strict action would be taken against any official or employee found negligent.

The review also covered agricultural, market systems, and farmer-related schemes. The minister directed all departments to remain proactive to ensure that farmers face no difficulties. The government’s goal is to ensure that the benefits of all schemes reach the public directly and transparently.

Moreover, discussions were held regarding illegal constructions and hotels and guest houses built without adhering to standards. The minister stated that all construction projects would be approved only if they meet the prescribed standards, and action would be taken if any violations are found.

Given the increasing religious tourism in Mathura, special attention is being paid to traffic management. The minister noted that sometimes the number of pilgrims exceeds expectations, leading to traffic jams. To address this issue, instructions have been given to improve roads, implement one-way systems, and enhance monitoring. The police administration has also been directed to strengthen arrangements.
