SP Leader Rajkumar Bhati Advocates for Effective Implementation of Womens Reservation Bill

Greater Noida, April 6: Rajkumar Bhati, spokesperson for the Samajwadi Party, has expressed support for the Women’s Reservation Bill. He stated that it is better late than never. A special three-day parliamentary session has been convened to discuss this bill.

In a conversation in Greater Noida, Bhati emphasized that while the government has introduced the Women’s Reservation Bill, it does not genuinely wish to implement it. He accused the Bharatiya Janata Party of wanting to operate based on Manusmriti and establish a Hindu nation. According to Manusmriti, women are not granted equal status and are considered second-class citizens, perpetuating a mindset that keeps women subservient to men.

He questioned the delay in implementing the bill, urging for its immediate enactment. Bhati insisted that the reservation should include a separate quota for OBC women to prevent discrimination. He also called for a quota for minority women alongside OBC women.

In conclusion, Bhati welcomed the bill but stressed the importance of its proper implementation to ensure that marginalized groups benefit from it.

When asked about CRPF personnel visiting the Ram Temple in Ayodhya, Bhati stated that he does not see it as an issue. He believes that everyone has their own faith and that such visits should not be politicized. He clarified that the personnel were not on duty at the time of their visit and emphasized that there should be no discrimination based on religion while on duty.
