It guides the start of the day, auspicious events, and observances based on its calculations of Tithi, Nakshatra, Yoga, and Karana. It also provides information about festivals and special days. On Monday, May 11, 2026, the ninth Tithi of the Krishna Paksha in the month of Jyeshtha will be observed.
The ninth Tithi will last until 3:24 PM, after which the Dashami Tithi will commence. However, according to Udayatithi (the Tithi at sunrise), the ninth Tithi will be honored throughout the day. Sunrise on Monday will occur at 5:33 AM, while sunset will be at 7:02 PM. Regarding Nakshatras, Shatabhisha will prevail until 1:28 AM, followed by Purva Bhadrapada. The Yoga of Indra will be effective throughout the day and until 1:04 AM on May 12. Meanwhile, the Karana will last until 3:24 PM.
For the auspicious moments on the ninth Tithi, Brahma Muhurat will be from 4:09 AM to 4:51 AM, Abhijit Muhurat from 11:51 AM to 12:45 PM, and Vijay Muhurat from 2:33 PM to 3:27 PM. Amrit Kaal will be observed from 6:05 PM to 7:43 PM, and the twilight period (Ghodhuli Muhurat) will be from 7:01 PM to 7:22 PM.
Conversely, inauspicious times include Rahukal from 7:14 AM to 8:55 AM, Yamgand from 10:37 AM to 12:18 PM, and Gulika Kaal from 1:59 PM to 3:40 PM. Additionally, Durmuhurt will be from 12:45 PM to 1:39 PM. The Panchak will remain effective throughout the day.
