Ahmedabad, August 27: Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel returned to Gujarat on Thursday morning after a successful tour of the United States and Canada from August 17 to 26. The Deputy Chief Minister, Harsh Sanghvi, warmly welcomed him at the airport.
Speaking to reporters at the airport, Chief Minister Patel stated, “The Gujarat government undertook this tour under the ‘Vibrant Gujarat’ initiative, aimed at promoting business in the state and attracting more investments. We witnessed how Prime Minister Modi has built global coordination and trust. Due to the unwavering faith people have in the Prime Minister, there is a very positive trend in bringing investments to India across various sectors.”
He emphasized the goal of attracting investments coming to India specifically to Gujarat. During the tour, they held significant and positive meetings with several companies, including major players in the semiconductor, AI, and data center sectors, as well as financial firms interested in the Gujarat International Finance Tec-City (GIFT).
The Chief Minister noted that these companies expressed deep interest in investing in Gujarat. He is confident that the state will attract substantial capital investments in the near future.
It is noteworthy that Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, along with a high-level delegation including the Chief Secretary, visited the US and Canada to promote the upcoming Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit 2027. The delegation met with investors, technology leaders, young entrepreneurs, innovators, and members of the Gujarati diaspora in cities like San Francisco, Washington D.C., and New York.
The delegation also included Chief Secretary M.K. Das, Additional Chief Secretary of the Finance Department T. Natarajan, Additional Chief Secretary of the Industry and Mines Department Mamta Verma, Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Sanjeev Kumar, and Additional Principal Secretary Dr. Vikrant Pandey, along with representatives from the state’s industry and business community.
