Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel Welcomed at Ahmedabad Airport, Aims for Increased Global Investment

Ahmedabad, August 27: Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel was warmly welcomed at Ahmedabad Airport upon his return from a successful trip to the United States and Canada. Deputy Chief Minister Harsh Sanghvi greeted him at the airport. Patel emphasized that the state government’s goal is to attract more global investment to Gujarat.

In a conversation with reporters, Chief Minister Patel stated, “During this trip, we witnessed the impact of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s global relationships and the trust people have in him. Due to this trust, investors are eager to invest in various sectors.”

He noted that the delegation aimed to ensure that incoming investments are directed towards Gujarat. Meetings with major companies and investors in sectors such as semiconductors, artificial intelligence, data centers, and manufacturing received enthusiastic responses.

Patel expressed optimism, saying, “Many companies are excited about investing in Gujarat.” He believes that the trip to the U.S. and Canada will yield significant investment for the state.

Additionally, during the trip, global investors and innovators were invited to participate in the 11th Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit, scheduled for January 10-12, 2027, under the inspiration and guidance of Prime Minister Modi. A high-level delegation from the Gujarat government, led by the Chief Minister and Chief Secretary, successfully promoted the upcoming summit during their travels.

The delegation held meetings with investors, technology leaders, young entrepreneurs, innovators, and members of the Gujarati community in San Francisco, Washington D.C., and New York. Key members of the delegation included Chief Secretary M.K. Das, Additional Chief Secretary T. Natarajan from the Finance Department, Additional Chief Secretary Mamta Verma from the Industries and Mines Department, and Principal Secretary Sanjeev Kumar.

Also present were officials such as K.C. Sampat, Managing Director of Index-B, Additional Commissioner Amit Prakash Yadav from Industries, Ahmedabad City Police Commissioner Anup Singh Gehlot, and Ahmedabad District Collector Bhavya Verma, among others.
