Mumbai, March 10: Actor and VJ Siddharth Bhardwaj is currently in the spotlight due to his participation in Jio’s popular show ‘The 50’. His aggressive and fearless personality has captured the audience’s attention. In a recent interview, he discussed his reasons for joining the show and shared insights about his life’s struggles.
After taking a break from the entertainment industry, Siddharth moved to the United States. Now, he has made a comeback through the reality show ‘The 50’. He expressed that after several years away, he wanted to reconnect with his audience. “I felt there couldn’t be a better platform than ‘The 50’ since it’s a Jio show produced by the same team behind major reality shows like ‘Khatron Ke Khiladi’ and ‘Bigg Boss’. I have a unique and longstanding connection with this team, making it the right opportunity,” he stated.
Regarding his aggressive persona on the show, he said, “That’s just who I am; I prefer to be fearless in life. Why should I live in fear? I don’t lie or harm anyone. I earn respect and live with dignity, so I have no reason to be afraid.”
He emphasized the importance of making a connection with the audience. “The real game is not inside the house but in front of the audience. Many believe they must reach the finale by any means, but if you fail to win the hearts of the viewers, you truly lose.”
Siddharth added, “If you come across as fake or like someone hiding behind a facade, you have already lost. I believe I won the real game because I showcased my true self. Being fearless has worked to my advantage. I speak my mind, and wherever I go or whatever show I participate in, my presence makes an impact.”
As a strong contestant on the show, he played all the games exceptionally well. When asked if he had a clear strategy going into the show, he replied, “I didn’t have any planned strategy. I wasn’t even aware that many contestants already knew each other and had formed groups. Since I didn’t know anyone, all strategies were developed on the spot, based on the situation.”
Siddharth had worked in the entertainment industry for a while but took a break to move to the U.S., where he took on jobs as a taxi driver and bouncer during the COVID-19 pandemic. He mentioned this during the show.
When asked how difficult it was to talk about his tough days in the episodes, he said, “Sharing that wasn’t easy because many in our industry prefer to showcase a glamorous or exaggerated image. People often flaunt luxury cars or extravagant lifestyles. However, standing on stage and admitting that I drove a taxi and worked as a security bouncer to make ends meet is a different story.”
However, Siddharth clarified that he did not share this for sympathy. His aim was to let the audience know the complete truth about his life and to help them understand that no job is too small or too big. If one has to work to support their family and life, it should be done with respect.
