Mumbai, August 31: Actress Manara Chopra is known for her active presence on social media, frequently engaging with her fans. Recently, she posted a dance video that unfortunately led to her being targeted by body shaming comments.
In the video shared on Instagram, Manara dances to the popular Punjabi track “Gucci” by Arub Khan, wearing a stylish black structured jacket outfit. She captioned the post, “Why chase labels when you’re already a brand?”
While many users showered her with love, others commented negatively about her appearance and weight. One user questioned, “Why are you getting fat?” Another remarked, “So overweight.”
A further comment suggested, “Go to the gym and work out a bit; this isn’t body shaming, it’s my concern as a fan.”
This is not the first time Manara has faced trolling regarding her weight. She has previously been body-shamed at public events, with social media users urging her to lose weight.
Manara Chopra has made a name for herself in both South Indian cinema and Bollywood. She began her acting career in 2014 with the Telugu film “Prema Geema Jantha Nai” and made her Bollywood debut the same year with the film “Zid,” which received positive reviews.
She has also appeared in several South Indian films, including “Jakkanna” (2016), “Thikka” (2016), “Rog” (2017), and “Sita” (2019). In 2023-2024, she gained significant popularity as the second runner-up on the reality TV show “Bigg Boss 17.”
