
Jaipur, August 31: Joanna Uranga from Cuba has won the prestigious title of Miss Teen International 2026, held in Jaipur. She represented Cuba’s culture, values, and leadership on this international stage, impressing the judges with her outstanding performance.
After her victory, Joanna spoke to the media, sharing that she had been preparing for this competition for over three years. “I have been preparing for this competition for more than three years, and honestly, all the hard work has paid off. This was one of my biggest dreams, and it has come true,” she stated.
She expressed her gratitude to everyone who supported her, saying, “I want to thank all those who have supported me. Always keep dreaming and never give up.”
Joanna also praised the beauty of India, saying, “I love India very much, and I will definitely come back. The people here have made me feel at home, and I truly love you all.”
Contestants from various countries participated in the competition, including Canada, Colombia, Cuba, the Dominican Republic, Fiji, France, Germany, India, Japan, Mexico, Namibia, the Netherlands, Paraguay, Peru, the Philippines, Puerto Rico, Romania, Spain, Sri Lanka, the United States, Venezuela, Vietnam, and Zimbabwe.
Discussing the results, Nikhil Anand, the owner of Miss Teen International, congratulated Uranga and remarked, “I am very happy that all contestants performed so well, making it difficult for us to select a winner. Congratulations to Cuba for winning its first Miss International title, and we look forward to working with Joanna Uranga.”
Anand praised Joanna’s performance, stating, “Joanna Uranga is an excellent candidate. She delivered a fantastic performance today. I always say that this is a competition; sometimes things go well, and sometimes they don’t, and India just missed out by a narrow margin.”
