Aberdeen, August 24: Indian golfer Shubhankar Sharma concluded his campaign at the 2026 Nexo Championship, finishing tied for 46th place after carding an even-par 72 in the final round. The tournament took place at the Trump International Golf Links in Aberdeen, Scotland.
Sharma’s last round included three birdies and three bogeys, leading to a total score of four-over 292 for the tournament. His scores across the four rounds were 73-72-75-72. Fellow Indian player Yuvraj Sandhu missed the cut earlier in the week.
Scott Jamieson from Scotland secured his second DP World Tour title with a stellar final round of 67. He finished with an impressive 11-under-par score, two shots ahead of England’s Matthew Jordan. This victory marks Jamieson’s second consecutive win at the Trump International Golf Links, following his triumph at Grant Forest last year.
Jamieson started the final round three shots behind overnight leader Shaun Norris but quickly closed the gap with three birdies on the front nine. Norris received a two-stroke penalty for violating Rule 8.1, which pertains to improving conditions affecting strokes, allowing Jamieson to take the lead.
The Scottish player strengthened his position with two more birdies at the start of the back nine. After losing a shot on the 13th hole, Jamieson regained his advantage with a birdie on the 14th.
Jordan’s bogey on the 17th hole extended Jamieson’s lead to three shots. He secured a memorable victory on home soil with a par score on the final hole.
This win came 5,005 days after Jamieson’s first DP World Tour title at the ISPS Handa Nelson Mandela Championship in 2012. With this victory, he climbed from 135th to 42nd in the DP World Tour’s ‘Race to Dubai’ rankings, securing his place on the tour for the next two years. Jordan finished in second place with a score of nine-under par after a birdie on the last hole, while South Africa’s Norris took third with a score of seven-under.
England’s Andy Sullivan, Spain’s Quim Vidal, and Paraguay’s Fabricio Zanotti tied for fourth place with scores of six-under. Richard Mansell delivered the best performance of the day, scoring seven-under 65 and setting a new course record at Trump International Golf Links. For this remarkable achievement, he received a $10,000 ‘Nexo Course Record’ prize and finished tied for seventh.
