New Delhi, August 26: Senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader and Garhwal MP Anil Baluni recently met with Union Education Minister Prahlad Joshi to discuss the establishment of Central Schools in Uttarakhand. He urged for the opening of these schools in four locations, including the summer capital of Uttarakhand, Gairsain.
Baluni took to social media platform ‘X’ to share, “Today, I met with Union Education Minister Prahlad Joshi to congratulate him on taking additional responsibilities at the Ministry of Education. During this meeting, I reiterated my demand for a Central School in Gairsain and urged the Minister to take necessary actions in this regard. I also requested the establishment of Central Schools in Ramnagar, Yamkeshwar assembly constituency, and Devprayag.”
He noted that the Education Minister responded positively to this significant issue and assured necessary action. Baluni stated, “The establishment of Central Schools in these areas will provide local students with better opportunities for quality education and will prove to be a crucial step towards a brighter future for children in hilly regions.”
Baluni emphasized the importance of providing better education to children in the mountains to prevent migration and create opportunities for youth within the region. The establishment of Central Schools is expected to improve educational standards and generate new employment opportunities.
For a long time, Baluni has been advocating for a Central School in Gairsain. Although Gairsain has been declared the summer capital of Uttarakhand, it currently lacks a significant educational institution like a Central School. This demand has been long-standing among local residents and students.
Similarly, students in hilly and semi-hilly areas like Ramnagar, Yamkeshwar, and Devprayag often have to travel far for quality education. The opening of Central Schools in these regions will not only benefit local students but also provide quality education to children from surrounding villages.
