Garhwa, May 10: A shocking incident has occurred in the Garhwa district of Jharkhand, where the body of an unidentified young man was discovered along National Highway 343. The body was found in a semi-nude state near the Khuthwa turn, causing a stir in the local community. Police are treating this as a potential homicide case, although the identity of the deceased has yet to be established.
According to reports, local residents alerted the police on Sunday after spotting the body by the roadside. Ranka police station chief Ravi Kumar Kesari arrived at the scene with a police team and initiated an investigation.
Preliminary findings suggest that the deceased is approximately 35 years old. During the investigation, deep cut marks were observed on the young man’s forehead and legs. Given the condition of the body and the injuries, police suspect foul play.
Station officer Ravi Kumar Kesari indicated that initial investigations imply the young man may have been murdered elsewhere before his body was discarded along NH-343 to conceal evidence. A search of the scene yielded no identification, mobile phone, or any documents in the victim’s shirt pocket that could help establish his identity.
Following this, police have begun reaching out to nearby police stations to gather information on missing persons. After completing necessary legal procedures, the body has been sent to Garhwa Sadar Hospital for an autopsy. Authorities believe that the autopsy report will provide clearer insights into the cause of death. Meanwhile, police are investigating all aspects of the case.
