Kochi, February 14: A disturbing cyber angle has emerged in the investigation of the suspicious death of 16-year-old Aadhitya in Kochi, Kerala. Authorities are now examining the case in the context of organized online activities. They have initiated an inquiry into a suspicious Instagram account believed to target minors.

Aadhitya left home on January 27, claiming she was going to school, but was later found dead near a stone quarry close to her residence. A purported suicide note discovered at the scene mentioned emotional trauma related to the alleged death of a Korean friend. However, police believe it is essential to investigate the online influence surrounding the case.

Central to the investigation is an Instagram account named ‘Black Venom,’ which Aadhitya was following. According to police sources, this account featured posts related to a Korean music band and content seemingly designed to exploit teenagers’ fascination with Korean pop culture.

Reports indicate that prior to the incident, this account had over 30 followers, but those followers mysteriously vanished after the girl’s death, raising suspicions of coordinated activity.

Cyber forensic investigations have also revealed that some students were violating school rules by bringing mobile phones and managing multiple Instagram accounts from a single device. One mobile phone sent for forensic analysis contained logins for eight different Instagram accounts.

The police have secured these login details, many of which were created under fake names, complicating identification and tracking efforts. Investigators suspect that minors may have been communicating through anonymous accounts in closed online groups, potentially exchanging coded messages. Authorities are also exploring whether an organized cyber network was disseminating emotionally charged content to psychologically influence teenagers.

Officials state that monitoring such accounts is extremely challenging, as many operate through foreign servers or private digital channels.
