New Delhi, July 30: Central Minister Giriraj Singh launched a sharp attack on Congress leader Rahul Gandhi during a Lok Sabha session. He stated that the Prime Minister is elected by the people and does not come from a royal lineage.
The discussion revolved around the Anti-Paper Leak Bill, during which Gandhi accused Union Home Minister Amit Shah and the RSS of various allegations. In response, the BJP challenged Gandhi to provide evidence and demanded an apology.
Singh remarked, “Serious allegations are being made without any evidence, facts, or logic. Claims of firing have been made, yet there is no proof. Making baseless accusations has become a habit for the opposition leader.”
He pointed out that when paper leak cases arise in Karnataka, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, or Rajasthan, Gandhi remains silent. This silence, Singh argued, is why the public is unwilling to accept his leadership.
Expressing strong disapproval of Gandhi’s speech, Singh noted that he spoke for nearly an hour, narrating stories, making accusations, and using derogatory language, including calling people ‘idiots’. He criticized Gandhi for making unfounded allegations against the RSS and others.
Singh sarcastically questioned, “If the RSS files a defamation case against him, what will he say in response? He must answer. It is unreasonable for the opposition leader to speak thoughtlessly like a child.”
He accused Gandhi of arrogance, stating, “Being born into the Gandhi family has led him to mistakenly believe that Parliament is his office. He must understand that this is a temple of democracy, governed by rules and decorum. The public has chosen a tea seller as their Prime Minister, a reality that Gandhi cannot accept. He needs to shed his arrogance.”
Singh concluded by asserting that there are neither facts nor evidence, only uncivil language that tarnishes the atmosphere of Parliament. He criticized the opposition for believing they can enhance their political standing by creating baseless noise and confusion. “Parliament is a platform for responsible discussion, not a stage for empty rhetoric,” he stated.
