Jalgaon, June 18: Shiv Sena (UBT) MLA Kishor Patil has raised concerns over the ongoing fragmentation within the party. He questioned why such turmoil is only affecting Shiv Sena, while other parties seem unaffected.
Patil urged Sanjay Raut and other party leaders to reflect on the reasons behind this crisis. He emphasized that the issue extends beyond just one individual, noting that prominent figures like Ganesh Naik, Chhagan Bhujbal, Narayan Rane, and Eknath Shinde have also departed. “Are they all wrong while Sanjay Raut is right? That cannot be the case,” he stated.
He further criticized Raut, suggesting that it is inappropriate to assume that only Raut holds the correct perspective. Patil advised Raut to focus on identifying the root causes of the party’s disintegration instead of making controversial statements.
In response to Raut’s comments, Patil claimed that 90 percent of Shiv Sena members now support Eknath Shinde. He highlighted the necessity of having active workers on the ground, questioning how Raut and his faction could engage in discussions when their ranks have thinned.
Addressing Raut’s threats, Patil asserted that no one, including Raut, can intimidate Shiv Sena MPs. He announced that on Friday, which marks the party’s foundation day, these MPs will publicly align with Shiv Sena.
It is noteworthy that six MPs from Shiv Sena (UBT) are reportedly considering leaving the party to join the Shinde faction. Raut had reacted sharply to this news, calling for consequences for the MPs and using derogatory language against them.
